2011 Harvest the Cash Fall Contest

Entry fee: $10.  Critique fee: $5 (optional)

Contest Guidelines
. Manuscript must be typed, double-spaced on one side of 8.5 x 11 white piece of
paper. Do not double space between paragraphs.
. Staple all entries in the upper left hand corner 
. Include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, word count, title,
where you heard about the contest and if you wish to have your story critiqued on cover page only

. Do not put your name or any other form of identification on the manuscript
. Include a SASE with sufficient postage if you want your manuscript returned
. Multiple entries are allowed, but entry fee must accompany each entry
. No e-mail entries
. Entries exceeding word count, arriving after deadline, or not following the guidelines will be disqualified
. Previous winning stories or honorable mentions may not be re-submitted
. Winners will be announced on November 18, 2011 on our web site: www.hamiltonwritersguild.org
. Individual winners will be notified by mail. Include a SASE for complete list of winners.
. All entry fees will be held until the grand opening of all manuscripts

Critique Guidelines

This year, to help you grow as a writer, we are offering a critique of your story.

Critiques will be based on adherence to guidelines, story content, grammar, usage of dialogue, characterization, and plot.
* Indicate if you wish to have your story critiqued on the cover sheet

* A check for the critique fee may be included with the entry fee

* Include SASE for optional critique

* Requesting, or not requesting, a critique of your story will not affect the judging.
